For the first time, a new native species of Acorus calamus L. (Acoraceae) is reported for the Lori floristic region in the northern part of the Republic of Armenia. Thickets of sweet flag were discovered in 2020–2021 at four lakes of the Lori Lakes system (Stepanavan-2, Novoseltsevo-1, Novoseltsevo-2, and Saratovka). Previously, this species was known only from the Yerevan floristic region of Armenia. Also, during the work on the Lori lakes, several rare species of Armenian flora were registered: Nymphaea alba L., Carex bohemian Schreb., Iris sibirica L., Utricularia intermedia Hayne, and Nymphoides peltatum (S.G. Gmel.) Kuntze.
